A genuine leader is not a searcher for consensus but a molder of consensus.

–Martin Luther King, Jr.

Dear Participants and Readers
Intaglio is back! As IIM-Calcutta’s annual international B-School fest, Intaglio 2012 is bigger and better with more participant schools from across India and overseas.
Olympus – the flagship event of Intaglio, promises to be the toughest quest in search of a true leader. We will test your vision, confidence, charisma, content, value-systems, and ability to foresee and plan as well as deliver results through exciting challenges. Our registrations and pre-event rounds saw nearly 150 entries this year! You made us laugh with your creative stories based on images and made us ponder over serious issues of morality. It was indeed a difficult task to choose the top three entries from every campus for the next round.
Those of you selected were interviewed by prestigious corporate managers and now is your turn to showcase your videos to your campuses and garner votes. You will vie for your campus vote as the campus champion based on your thought leadership, charm and confidence. This blog will serve as a platform for each institute where you will put forth their personal opinion on a common topic given. The opinions on the blog will be accompanied by a short audio/video pitch where you will talk about yourselves and what makes you a suitable candidate. Your performance in this blog will carry a direct weightage in the evaluation for subsequent rounds.
Students from B-schools across the nation and the general public are invited to this blog to share their opinion about these contestants. They can also question the contestants on their views which would help their campuses decide whom to vote for.
The latest updates of Olympus will also be put up on this blog. Please feel free to share your views and ask questions. Readers can also examine the profiles and views of the previous versions of Olympus and view event photos once it has begun on the ground.
We wish all the participants the best. May the most deserving candidate emerge as the Olympian!
P.S. Please note that questions and comments are invited from everyone but voting is open only to the B-school students from the participating institutes.

The 3rd and final round of Olympus 2011 took place at IIM Calcutta from 7th to 9th Jan. 2011. Of the 10 Campus Representatives selected, only 7 could make it to the on-campus round.

The 3 day event consisted of a series of sub-events testing the contestants on various individual and team parameters, after which 3 finalists selected for the Grand Finale round where the judges announced this year’s Olympus winner: Nikhil Uppal from XLRI. Navin Madhavan (IIM Bangalore) and Arun Devadas (IIM Calcutta) were the Joint Runners-Up.

Team Olympus extends their heartiest congratulations to Nikhil, Navin and Arun; and awaits a tougher, grander Olympus next year.
